Yesterday a steam pipe exploded a couple of blocks away from my office and the street completely split open and tons of steam poured out as high as the Chrysler Building. One women died of a heart attack due to the shock, and many were injured. People were covered in mud from underneith the street, and many people had been badly burned and were bleeding. Luckily I was no where near at the time, and all my friends have been accounted for. My roommate works right where it happened and she said their building shook and the lights flickered and they saw everyone running in the street. I'm so glad I wasn't there because I surely would have panicked and thought it was a terrorist attack.
I feel so badly for those who were hurt, but am glad it was an accident and not a bomb.

Hey we do care!!!! I came to your page to ask if you were anywhere near to the accident. It was too late to call last night when I heard about it. I am glad that you're ok and all of your friends are accounted for.
P.S. I wrote a comment earlier but it did not post. So if by some strange reason it shows up later I wanted you to know that I am not going crazy.....I just posted another one....
